Putrajaya, 1 July 2025, YBhg. Datuk Aaron Ago Dagang, Minister of National Unity, received a courtesy visit from YBhg. Prof. Dr. Arifin Abdu, Deputy Vice-Chancellor of Student and Alumni Affairs at Universiti Putra Malaysia (UPM), along with YBrs. Encik Fahmi Azar Mistar, Director of the UPM Alumni Relations Centre (ARCUPM). The minister, who is an alumnus of the Bachelor of Forestry program from the then Universiti Pertanian Malaysia in 1983, warmly welcomed the visit, as it brought back cherished memories of his university days at an institution that has since flourished into the highly respected Universiti Putra Malaysia.

This meaningful meeting also served as a platform to discuss potential strategic collaborations between UPM and the Ministry of National Unity, particularly in advancing initiatives to strengthen students' character development and soft skills. UPM, through its Alumni Relations Centre, believes that sustained efforts in this area will contribute to producing graduates who are not only academically excellent but also resilient, open-minded, and capable of becoming unifying forces in society. The minister expressed his pride in UPM’s continued excellence and its pivotal role in nurturing the nation's future leaders.
