SERDANG, 3rd August – The UPM Alumni Relations Centre (ARCUPM) participated in the Service Innovation Award (Management Category) presentation session held in conjunction with Universiti Putra Malaysia's Quality and Service Innovation Day (HKIP) 2025–2026, showcasing its innovation project entitled Legacy Chair for Alumni.
The ARCUPM team, led by Mr Aiman Fikri Mohd Aris Fadzillah, presented the project with the support of Mr Fahmi Azar Mistar and Ms Aida Fitri Peli. The initiative highlights ARCUPM's commitment to enhancing alumni engagement while supporting the University's efforts to continuously improve service delivery through innovative and impactful approaches.

What distinguishes the Kerusi Legasi Alumni project is its emphasis on the human touch rather than technological or system-based solutions. While many service innovation initiatives focus on digital platforms or process automation, this project centres on reconnecting Universiti Putra Malaysia alumni through meaningful personal engagement, regardless of their background, profession, geographical location or year of graduation. The initiative reflects ARCUPM's belief that strong alumni relationships are built through genuine human connections that foster a lifelong sense of belonging to the University.
ARCUPM's participation in HKIP UPM 2025–2026 demonstrates the Centre's ongoing commitment to cultivating a culture of innovation and continuous service improvement. Initiatives such as the Kerusi Legasi Alumni support the University's aspiration to strengthen strategic engagement with its alumni community while creating sustainable value for the University and its stakeholders.

The Centre also extends its appreciation to the panel of judges for their constructive feedback, recommendations and valuable insights throughout the presentation session. The comments received will serve as an important reference in further refining the project and enhancing its future implementation.
Through its participation in the Service Innovation Award, ARCUPM reaffirms its commitment to promoting innovation in service excellence while developing initiatives that place people at the heart of alumni engagement. The Kerusi Legasi Alumni project reflects the University's vision of fostering meaningful, lifelong relationships with its alumni community and strengthening their continued connection with Universiti Putra Malaysia.
