Cyberjaya, September 12 – The UPM Alumni Relations Centre (ARCUPM) participated in the Tracing Alumni for Collaboration and Engagement (TRACE) @ Education 2025 Series 1 program, held on Friday, September 12, 2025, at the Dewan Tun Canselor (DTC), Multimedia University Malaysia (MMU), Cyberjaya.

This participation forms part of ARCUPM’s continuous efforts to strengthen its network with UPM alumni, particularly in the field of education. The program served as an important platform to foster closer ties, expand collaborative opportunities, and encourage alumni contributions to both the university and the national education community.

During the program, ARCUPM set up a dedicated booth to trace alumni and update their information through the Alumni Information System (AIS). The initiative received an encouraging response, with 54 alumni successfully identified. Many of them re-registered and updated their details in the system during the session.

One alumni who stood out was Dr. Siti Fairuz Murshid, who holds a special bond with UPM as her entire academic journey was completed at the university. She began with Matriculation in 1996, pursued her Bachelor’s Degree in 1999, followed by a Master’s Degree in 2014, and completed her Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) in 2020 at UPM. She proudly expressed her sentiment by saying, “UPM will always be in my heart.” Her presence exemplified the strong relationship between alumni and the university, while serving as an inspiration for the younger generation to contribute their expertise.

Overall, ARCUPM’s participation in TRACE@Education 2025 Series 1 is expected to strengthen alumni networks in the field of education and reaffirm the university’s commitment to building a legacy of international excellence.
