Serdang, 21 January 2026Meet & Greet 3.0 was successfully organised by the Universiti Putra Malaysia Alumni Association (PAUPM) at the UPM Alumni Association Office, located on the ground floor of the Office of the Deputy Vice-Chancellor (Research and Innovation), Universiti Putra Malaysia. The programme served as a strategic platform to strengthen engagement among alumni, strategic partners, and scholarship contributors in supporting the welfare and academic excellence of UPM students.

The event brought together alumni from diverse backgrounds to share experiences, insights, and their continued commitment to student development and the university. The organisation of Meet & Greet 3.0 reflects the active role of the UPM Alumni Association in fostering meaningful and sustainable collaboration within the alumni community.

Adding further value to the programme, Meet & Greet 3.0 featured podcast sessions with scholarship contributors, including representatives from Cyperus 92’ and Pewaris Gemilang. These sessions provided an interactive platform for contributors to share their motivations, values of giving, and the important role alumni play in giving back to the university and supporting student development.

Among the contributors was Cyperus 92’ representative Puan Suhana Md Chairi, a UPM alumna from the 1992 and 1996 cohorts, who contributed RM14,000 to the Universiti Putra Malaysia Alumni Relations Centre. Her podcast sharing offered meaningful insights into the significance of alumni support in enhancing student welfare.

The programme also highlighted contributions from the Pewaris Gemilang initiative, represented by Encik Zainol Abidin Ahmad, a UPM alumnus from the 2004 and 2010 cohorts, who contributed RM120,000 to the Universiti Putra Malaysia Alumni Relations Centre. His contribution reflects the sustained commitment of alumni to strengthening access to educational opportunities for UPM students.

Overall, the successful organisation of Meet & Greet 3.0 not only strengthened ties between alumni and the university, but also served as a catalyst for future welfare initiatives and strategic collaborations. Continued support from alumni and strategic partners is expected to further enhance the student development ecosystem at Universiti Putra Malaysia.
