Serdang, 31 December – In conjunction with the final day of the 2025 calendar year, the Universiti Putra Malaysia Alumni Relations Centre (ARCUPM) organised a gotong-royong (communal clean-up) activity to clean and enhance the surroundings of its office, symbolising teamwork and a fresh start as the centre prepares to welcome the New Year 2026.

The activity involved all ARCUPM staff and was led by the Director of the UPM Alumni Relations Centre, Mr Fahmi Azar Mistar. Conducted in a positive and collaborative atmosphere, the initiative aimed to create a cleaner, more pleasant and conducive working environment.
Among the activities carried out were the cleaning of unattended flower pots, replacing old plants with new greenery, and rearranging the placement of plants to brighten the office area. These efforts not only improved the physical appearance of the workplace but also injected renewed motivation and positive energy among the staff.

As 2025 draws to a close and 2026 approaches, the UPM Alumni Relations Centre remains committed to looking ahead and continuing to deliver the best possible services to alumni and the wider UPM community.

In conclusion, the gotong-royong activity was more than an effort to beautify the office environment; it represented unity, dedication and a renewed spirit within ARCUPM as the centre moves forward into 2026 with optimism and commitment to excellence.
