The Universiti Putra Malaysia Website Main Committee Meeting was held to discuss various initiatives aimed at improving the university’s official website and strengthening the effectiveness of the committee itself. The meeting served as an important platform for members to exchange ideas and explore new approaches towards enhancing UPM’s digital presence.

One of the key discussions focused on website improvement and the role of the committee in ensuring that the platform remains relevant, informative, and accessible to users. As technology continues to evolve rapidly, the committee also highlighted the importance of becoming more familiar with artificial intelligence (AI) and current technological developments that could support the university’s digital transformation.

The meeting further explored ways to make the UPM website more user-friendly for students, staff, alumni, and the public. Discussions included improving navigation, accessibility, content arrangement, and the overall user experience to ensure visitors can easily obtain information through the platform.

Beyond discussing the coordination of activities and committee responsibilities, the session also emphasised the need to understand how the UPM website functions as an important communication medium for the university. Members exchanged views on how digital platforms can be utilised more effectively in delivering information and strengthening engagement with the community.

In addition, social media was identified as an essential tool in introducing and promoting the university website to a wider audience. By integrating social media strategies with the website, UPM can improve public awareness, encourage engagement, and ensure important information reaches users more efficiently.

Overall, the meeting reflected UPM’s continuous commitment towards embracing technological advancement and enhancing its digital ecosystem in line with current needs and future developments.
