Beneath the bright skies and rolling fairways of Universiti Putra Malaysia’s golf course, the Tournament Reunion on the Greens (ROG) 2026 unfolded as more than just a sporting event. It became a tapestry of laughter, nostalgia, and renewed connections, bringing together alumni from across generations in a celebration of camaraderie and shared identity.
Organized by the Alumni Relations Centre (ARCUPM) in collaboration with the UPM Alumni Association (PAUPM), Golf by MK, and Kolej Tun Dr Ismail (KTDI), the tournament drew a distinguished lineup of guests. Among them were UPM Vice Chancellor Dato’ Prof. Ir. Dr. Ahmad Farhan Mohd Sadullah, KTDI Principal Associate Professor Dr. Nurul Hayah Khairuddin, Registrar Mr. Muhazam Mansor, PAUPM President Mr. Norashedy Ab Rashid, ARCUPM Director Mr. Fahmi Azar Mistar, and PAUPM Deputy President Mr. Shahrudin Mahadi. Their presence underscored a shared commitment to nurturing the bond between alumni and their alma mater.

Yet, the true essence of ROG 2026 lay not in the competition, but in the reunion it fostered. On the greens, old friends embraced after years apart, stories of campus life resurfaced with warmth, and professional updates were exchanged with pride. The atmosphere was lighthearted and welcoming, where every swing of the club seemed to echo with memories of student days and the enduring spirit of UPM.
The event also served as fertile ground for building professional networks, blending leisure with opportunity. Alumni discovered new collaborations while strengthening the sense of unity that defines the UPM community. The laughter that rang across the course, the shared meals, and the friendly banter transformed the day into a living reminder of the lifelong connections forged at UPM.

In the end, ROG 2026 was not simply about golf. It was about rekindling friendships, celebrating achievements, and reaffirming the enduring value of alumni ties. Through initiatives like this, UPM continues to honor its graduates as vital pillars of the university’s legacy, ensuring that the bond between alumni and their alma mater remains vibrant for generations to come.
