Vista & Memory Series 2: Sport Centre UPM

Vista and Memory is a project to strengthen alumni engagement on the social media Alumni Centre. Vista focuses on panoramas and landscapes at UPM while Memory is  nostalgic memories of alumni during their time at UPM. Series 2 highlighted UPM Sport Centre.

 

Universiti Putra Malaysia (UPM) has been producing an abundant amount of successful alumni in various fields including sports. In sports arena, UPM has produced many successful athletes with international achievements. Among the all-star UPM athletes are Roslinda Samsu (alumni class of 2012) pole vault athlete, 2017 world champion 10m platform event, Cheong Jun Hoong (alumni class of 2019), Jonathan Wong Guanjie (alumni class of 2019) participated in Olympic Rio, Mohamad Azwar Bakar@Ibrahim played ping pong in Rio Paralympic, Zaidatul Husniah Zulkifli (alumni class of 2019) in atheletics, Lawrence Petrus (alumni class of 2019) Malaysian rugby player and several others national athletes produced by UPM.

UPM Sport Centre is an entity responsible in providing the best sports infrastructure for UPM athletes and well-constructed sports development module for UPM students. In addition, UPM has provided numerous sport facilities such as archery court, hockey field, volleyball court, takraw and badminton court, and football and rugby field for athlete training.
