SERDANG – The ceremony is held at Umai Cafe, Kolej Tan Sri Aishah Ghani on 23 August 2023 at 12.30PM. It is held to record this historical moment in which the construction project of Warisan Budi Putra Clock Tower that has been awaited for so long will finally come true.

Last 24 May, a tender for the Budaya Warisan Budi Clock Tower project was opened until 22 June 2023. Following the matter, Fitrah Bitrade Sdn Bhd will be the tender company that will be responsible for the construction of this project. This Site Handover ceremony will serve as the mark point and proof that the construction work for this clock tower has officially started after being on hold for 16 years. The symbolism of this site handover is done by giving a construction safety helmet as a symbol from UPM Vice Chancellor, Dato’ Prof. Dr. Mohd. Roslan Sulaiman to Mr. Jamaluddin Jaafar, the Director of Fitrah Bitrade Sdn Bhd.

Warisan Budi Putra Clock Tower is built to appreciate the donation from campus, alumni and UPM community to the university. It will also serve as a symbol that reflects the importance of valuing time. By building this clock tower, it is hoped to be a UPM landmark to represent it as a tower of knowledge that becomes a pride for the community.
