SERDANG – Alumni Relations Centre continues as linkage between alumni, alma mater and students. Through Alumni Berbakti initiative, Alumni Relations Centre has organised Tracing Alumni for Collaboration & Engagement (TRACE) Bridges-Link District (TAD)@Southeast Johor programme where it managed to obtain 16 laptops contributed by Yayasan Kebajikan Suria to UPM students from B40 and asnaf families.
The laptops were handed over by Yayasan Kebajikan Suria Chairman, James Ho to Alumni Relations Centre to be later distributed to the selected students. Together in the ceremony were UPM Vice Chancellor, Prof. Dr. Mohd Roslan Sulaiman, Registrar, Muhazam Mansor, Alumni Relations Centre Deputy Director, Fahmi Azar Mistar, UPM Alumni Association (PAUPM) representative, and Head of Industry Engagement and Alumni Grant section, Fudhayl Omar.
This initiative has supported the aspiration of UPM Vice Chancellor, Prof. Dr. Mohd Roslan Sulaiman as outlined in the Vice Chancellor’s Narrative 2022 eleventh aspiration which is to engage alumni for university sustainability.
Alumni engagement in assisting UPM students has demonstrated their togetherness in fulfilling university’s vision and mission in preserving UPM’s reputation as the most sustainable university.
Alumni Relations Centre expressed its warmest appreciation and gratitude for aiding the students in achieving success and one day they will give back to the university.
