Pingat Emas Yayasan Pak Rashid

Yayasan Pak Rashid (YPR) was officially launched in November 2000. The foundation, inspired by the name of Pak Rashid, was initiated by friends and alumni who remembered him as an outstanding teacher. As the founder and pioneer of Universiti Pertanian Malaysia, he was well known for his strict discipline and his constant willingness to support students throughout his service. His dedication to education and his passion for agriculture earned him the highest recognitions: an Honorary Doctorate in Letters from Universiti Pertanian Malaysia and the Ridley Centennial Award (Posthumous). Compassion and dynamism are the qualities that best describe his character, which left a profound impact in transforming students—from shy village youths into successful corporate leaders and entrepreneurs who contributed greatly to the nation.
