Today, UPM alumni proved their togetherness in realising the dreams of six students including one of them being a physical Disabled Person (OKU) student when each received a laptop from the contribution of UPM alumni.

The initiative expressed through the Putra Cakna Alumni Care: Heart to Heart Programme is aimed at helping students from the B40 and asnaf groups who are unable to afford their own laptops.

Through student data obtained from the Zakat, Wakaf and Endowment Centre (WAZAN) as well as the Student Affairs Division (BHEP), many have been identified as having constraints in setting up their own devices. This continuous programme will continue to accommodate students with no ability from time to time.

For the Alumni Relations Centre and the UPM Alumni Association, this program is a continuous programme designed to help and provide facilities to UPM students who are not capable but have the ability to achieve success.

The UPM Alumni Relations Center (ARCUPM) from time to time always strives and moves along with alumni out there to find funding in an effort to help and support underprivileged UPM students.

Whether the contribution in the form of scholarships, devices or food aids ARCUPM will continue to help in upholding the university's vision and mission to produce students as good citizens in order to maintain UPM's reputation as the most sustainable university.

The alumni are welcome to participate in every programme organised in a show of alumni togetherness to help the university with the vision and mission that has been set. Today, #daripadaalumnikepadaUPM slogan has proven that the alumni agreement has greatly benefited not only the university but more to the needs of students especially those from underprivileged families.

For Nurdinie Azlan students who are physically disabled students, the initiative taken by ARCUPM and UPM alumni has helped her and other disabled friends to have their own laptops breathe a sigh of relief.

If during this time he only expected the small screen of his mobile phone to complete an assignment or borrow a friend's laptop, but with the initiative from ARCUPM and the Alumni Association, he and his friends helped him and his friends a lot.

It is his desire that, when he graduates and succeeds, he and his friends will also return to continue contributing to this beloved alma mater.
