Kuala Lumpur, January 8th – The Universiti Putra Malaysia (UPM) Alumni Relations Centre (ARCUPM), led by Associate Professor Dr. Mohd Mokrish Md Ajat, Deputy Director of ARCUPM, conducted an Alumni Engagement Visit to the Peninsular Malaysia Forestry Department (JPSM). This initiative is part of ARCUPM's continuous efforts to strengthen connections with UPM alumni who are actively serving in various sectors, particularly within government agencies.

During this first engagement session of the year, ARCUPM successfully identified several UPM alumni currently holding key positions at JPSM, including YBhg. Dato' Ahmad Fadzil bin Abdul Majid, who serves as the Deputy Director-General of Operations and Technical, YBhg. Dato' Samsu Anuar bin Nawi, the Director of the Forest Plantation and Protection Division, Tuan Haji Ramli bin Mat, the Director of the Forestry Training Division, Encik Mohd Yussainy bin Md Yusop, the Director of the Forest Eco-Park and State Park Division, and Cik Regina Mariah Jong, the Head of the Corporate Communication and Public Relations Unit.

The primary objective of this engagement session was to foster strategic discussions and exchange ideas on initiatives that would encourage alumni to reconnect with their alma mater. The collaboration is expected to generate meaningful programmes that benefit not only the alumni but also current students and the university as a whole. Assoc. Prof. Dr. Mohd Mokrish Md Ajat emphasized the significance of such partnerships, highlighting that maintaining close ties with alumni allows them to continue contributing to the university’s growth and development.

Beyond identifying UPM alumni at JPSM, this session served as a valuable platform to reinforce their connection with the university, strengthening the bond between alumni and their alma mater while reaffirming their role in supporting UPM’s ongoing progress.
