L'Apprenti Restaurant, March 22nd – Sejam Bersama Alumni (SEBA) 2.0 2025 & UPM Alumni Iftar Gathering brought together alumni from diverse backgrounds and expertise at L’Apprenti & Deli Restaurant, UPM, Serdang. This meaningful gathering served as a platform for alumni to reconnect, exchange insights, and strengthen their ties with their alma mater.

The evening commenced with a prayer recitation, followed by welcoming remarks from the Deputy Dean (Development and Networking), Assoc. Prof. Dr. Nur Hanani binti Zainal Abedin, and the President of the UPM Alumni Association, Dato' Raihan Sharif. Both speakers emphasized the invaluable role of alumni in shaping the university’s progress and contributing to society.

A key highlight of the program was a knowledge-sharing session by Mr. Mohd Safzan Mohd Mukhtar, a Class of 2004 alumnus and Senior Assistant Director at the Halal Management Division of JAKIM (Department of Islamic Development Malaysia). His insightful talk, titled "From UPM Lecture Hall to JAKIM: Journey, Knowledge, and Halal Responsibility," provided attendees with a deeper understanding of the halal industry and his professional experiences in the field. As a token of appreciation, a memento was presented to Mr. Mohd Safzan by the Director of the Alumni Relations Centre, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Siti Aqlima Ahmad.

As the call to Maghrib prayer echoed, attendees gathered for iftar, sharing a warm and convivial meal that further strengthened the sense of camaraderie among alumni and university representatives. The Alumni Relations Centre UPM extends its heartfelt gratitude to Mr. Mohd Safzan Mohd Mukhtar for his invaluable sharing and to all alumni who attended and supported this meaningful event. May the connections rekindled continue to flourish and bring lasting benefits to all.
