Kuala Lumpur, September 27 – The Alumni Relations Centre of Universiti Putra Malaysia (ARCUPM) participated in the Tracing Alumni for Collaboration and Engagement (TRACE)@Veterinar program held in conjunction with The 35th Malaysian Veterinary Medical Association (MAVMA) Annual Conference 2025 at the Grand Millennium Hotel, Kuala Lumpur.
The program aimed to strengthen strategic collaboration networks and reconnect with UPM alumni, particularly from the Faculty of Veterinary Medicine. Through this initiative, ARCUPM successfully updated more than 60 alumni data records throughout the program.

The presence of distinguished alumni such as Datin Paduka Setia Dato’ Dr. Aini Deris (Alumni 1979 & 1989), Dr. Helen Anak Mitin (Alumni 2013), and Dr. Kevin Lazarus (Alumni 1987) further enlivened the event. These notable figures are among the many alumni who have continued to bring honour to the university through their leadership and professional contributions at both national and international levels.
The TRACE@Veterinar program also served as a meaningful platform to strengthen ties between the university and its alumni, while recognising their invaluable contributions to the development of the veterinary field in Malaysia. The strong bonds of camaraderie fostered throughout the event reflected the deep sense of belonging and pride shared by UPM alumni towards their beloved alma mater.

Overall, the successful implementation of TRACE@Veterinar underscores ARCUPM’s ongoing commitment to empowering alumni as the university’s strategic partners. It is hoped that the spirit of togetherness and collaboration cultivated through this initiative will continue to flourish, driving UPM’s excellence and advancing the veterinary field in the years to come.
