Kota Bharu, Kelantan - Alumni Relations Center of Universiti Putra Malaysia (ARCUPM) successfully organized the Tracing Alumni for Collaboration and Engagement (TRACE) program in Kota Bharu, Kelantan. This two-day program, held on September 2 and 3, 2024, aimed to strengthen the relationship between alumni and their alma mater by tracking UPM alumni currently serving in government agencies and the private sector.
During this program, ARCUPM successfully located 114 UPM alumni who are now working at Universiti Malaysia Kelantan. Additionally, ARCUPM organized several alumni meet-and-greet sessions to enhance the alumni network. One of these meetings involved Dr. Abdul Karim Zaidan Ab Aziz, an alumnus from the Class of 2018 who currently operates the Kota Veterinary Clinic. The visit to the clinic not only strengthened the relationship between the alumni and their alma mater but also successfully identified three more UPM alumni who work at the clinic.
ARCUPM also organized a meet-and-greet session with Dr. Mohd Fakrudin Abd Salam, an alumnus from the Class of 1997 and owner of the Mahkota Veterinary Clinic. During this session, ARCUPM managed to update the information of two alumni who are currently serving at that clinic. Programs like this play an important role in ensuring that alumni remain connected and can contribute to the university's development through various forms of collaboration and participation in university programs.
With this initiative, ARCUPM hopes to expand the alumni network and strengthen the relationship between the university and its former students in an effort to build ongoing collaborations for mutual benefit.
