Serdang, 18 & 19 October – The Tracing Alumni for Collaboration and Engagement (TRACE)@Agriculture programme was successfully held at the Grand Hall of the Sultan Salahuddin Abdul Aziz Shah Cultural and Arts Centre (PKKSSAAS), Universiti Putra Malaysia (UPM) in conjunction with the National Agricultural Community Conference (PKPK) 2025, themed “Agricultural Innovation: The Catalyst for a Green Community.”

The conference was recognised by The Malaysian Book of Records as the first national-level event to gather Malaysia’s agricultural community on a single platform since 2023, marking a milestone in uniting experts, industry players, and stakeholders in the agricultural sector.
Throughout the two-day programme, a total of 29 UPM alumni were successfully traced and their data updated through the TRACE@Agriculture initiative. The programme served as a vital platform for alumni to reconnect with the university, strengthen professional networks, and explore strategic collaborations in agriculture and agribusiness.

The event also featured the participation of Dr. Muhammad Mu’az Mahmud, Deputy Director of the UPM Alumni Relations Centre (ARCUPM), who served as one of the experts in the UPM Expert Clinic, specialising in Agribusiness and Entrepreneurship. Several other agricultural specialists were also present to share their knowledge and provide consultations, making the programme an insightful and resourceful engagement for attendees.
Beyond its data collection purpose, TRACE@Agriculture has evolved into a strategic engagement platform that strengthens ties, fosters knowledge exchange, and encourages long-term collaboration between alumni and the university.

In conclusion, the success of TRACE@Agriculture 2025 reflects UPM’s unwavering commitment to strengthening alumni relations while recognising their crucial role in advancing Malaysia’s agricultural landscape. Upholding the spirit of “With Knowledge We Serve,” UPM alumni continue to be key contributors to fostering sustainable and innovative agricultural development for the nation.
