Serdang, 22 October – The Tracing Alumni for Collaboration and Engagement (TRACE)@Counsellor Series 2 programme was successfully held on Wednesday, 22 October 2025, at the Grand Hall, Sultan Salahuddin Abdul Aziz Shah Cultural and Arts Centre (PKKSSAAS), Universiti Putra Malaysia (UPM) from 8.00 a.m. to 4.30 p.m.
This programme, a continuation of the first series held earlier, served as an important platform to trace and update alumni data within the counselling field. The second edition successfully traced 12 UPM alumni, further strengthening professional connections and fostering closer ties between alumni and the university.

The event was officiated by YBhg. Dato’ Dr. Abd Halim bin Mohd Hussin, President of PERKAMA International, who commended UPM’s continuous efforts in maintaining strong relationships with its alumni through initiatives such as the TRACE series.
The programme also featured a sharing session by Guest Icon, Mr. Fadzli bin Aziz, a Family Counsellor and Motivational Consultant, who is also a UPM graduate of the Bachelor of Education (Guidance and Counselling). His session provided valuable insights into the challenges and opportunities within the counselling profession, inspiring both students and alumni in attendance.

In addition to the UPM Alumni Relations Centre (ARCUPM) booth, various agencies and institutions participated in the event, including the National Anti-Drug Agency (AADK), UPM Counselling Centre, and the Sultan Abdul Aziz Shah Hospital (HSAAS), among others. Their participation enriched the programme through meaningful exchanges and networking opportunities within the counselling and human development sectors.

In conclusion, the TRACE@Counsellor Series 2 programme not only serves as an alumni tracing initiative but also as a strategic platform for strengthening relationships, fostering collaboration, and exchanging expertise between alumni, students, and industry professionals. Upholding the spirit of “With Knowledge We Serve,” UPM alumni continue to play a vital role in advancing the counselling profession and empowering human capital development in Malaysia.
