Serdang, 19 December – The Universiti Putra Malaysia Alumni Relations Centre (ARCUPM) set up a TRACE and alumni data update counter in conjunction with the “50 Years of Engineering Faculty: The Grand Homecoming” Dinner, held to celebrate the 50th anniversary of the Faculty of Engineering, Universiti Putra Malaysia.

The TRACE@Engineering 2025 initiative aimed to trace alumni and encourage the updating of alumni records, while reinforcing the message that graduates and faculty members remain an integral part of the UPM alumni community. Maintaining accurate and up-to-date alumni data is essential to support future planning, professional networking and strategic collaborations within the university.

The meaningful evening successfully gathered approximately 500 guests, comprising alumni from various generations, industry partners, collaborative partners, former faculty members and current faculty staff, in an atmosphere filled with nostalgia and camaraderie.

Throughout the event, the ARCUPM counter received encouraging participation, with 77 alumni stopping by to update their information. Notably, those who visited the counter included not only former students but also staff members of the Faculty of Engineering, reflecting a shared awareness of the importance of alumni engagement and identity.

Overall, TRACE@Engineering 2025 played a vital role in strengthening the connection between alumni and the university, while reminding all graduates that they are UPM alumni and ambassadors, with a shared responsibility to remain connected and contribute to the continued growth and excellence of Universiti Putra Malaysia.
