Serdang, 5 December - The 49th UPM Convocation Ceremony, held from 29 November to 5 December 2025, has officially come to a close, marking a meaningful and impactful week for the UPM Alumni Relations Centre (ARCUPM). This year, ARCUPM’s involvement expanded significantly across various venues and initiatives throughout the convocation week.

One of the key highlights was the introduction of the UPM Alumni Legacy Seat, a new initiative that honours UPM alumni who returned to celebrate the graduation of their children. For the first time, these alumni parents were given the privilege to be seated in the specially designated Alumni Legacy Seat inside the Main Hall. The response was overwhelmingly positive, and ARCUPM was delighted to welcome many alumni who had not returned to campus for a long time. Congratulations to all UPM alumni.

ARCUPM also set up an information booth near the Main Hall to allow alumni to easily obtain information about ARCUPM programs and update their personal data. In its continued effort to strengthen alumni networking, ARCUPM further provided an opportunity for alumni entrepreneurs to participate by opening booths at PESKON 2025, held for the very first time at Dataran Menara Putra Warisan Budi. This initiative helps foster connections between alumni, students, and the university community.

ARCUPM would also like to acknowledge the dedication of its working committee and especially the ARCUPM Media Team, who worked tirelessly to capture and upload photos and videos throughout the convocation. Their commitment ensured smooth documentation and timely updates for the UPM community and alumni nationwide.

ARCUPM extends its appreciation to all UPM staff members who supported and assisted throughout this extensive involvement. Special thanks are conveyed to UPM’s Deputy Vice-Chancellor (Student Affairs & Alumni), Prof. Dr. Arifin Abdu; the Student Affairs Division; the UPM Alumni Association; the CEP Division; students from the Chapter Student Ambassador (CSA); and former ARCUPM staff now serving at other departments who returned to assist. A heartfelt thank you is also dedicated to Puan Noorizai Mohamad Noor, Chief Administrative Officer of the Vice-Chancellor’s Office, for her support in coordinating escort officers for the Alumni Legacy Seat.

ARCUPM expresses its deepest appreciation and gratitude for all the cooperation, support, and contributions received throughout the 49th UPM Convocation Ceremony. Insya-Allah, ARCUPM looks forward to more collaborative opportunities in the future as we continue to uphold the legacy and excellence of UPM alumni.
