SERDANG, 21 March – UPM 45^th Convocation was held in full protocol and obligated to the Standard of Operation (SOP). Only graduands were allowed into the hall, which is complied with by parents and families. 759 graduates received their scrolls on the second day.

Their journey as UPM alumni has begun. For Ng Jing Wen, Bachelor of Science (Dietetics), alumni class of 2021, today is a special day for her. Despite the pandemic outbreak, she is blessed to have the opportunity to receive her scroll on convocation day. Remarkably, Ng Jing Wen was the recipient of Pak Rashid Foundation Gold Medal.  

“All my hustles, lecturers’ and families’ are paid off today and I have made them proud. I am satisfied with my efforts, and when being announced as a gold medallist, I felt I have done my utmost best towards my sponsor,” she said.   

“As Yayasan Pak Rashid scholarship recipient, it is my responsibility to uphold my sponsor and UPM reputation. On this opportunity, I would like to thank Alumni Relations Centre and Yayasan Pak Rashid for assisting me in terms of financial and moral support throughout my studies, and as the recipient of YPR Gold Medal.  

It was not an easy journey because I must balance my academic achievement and co-curriculum participation. I must balance my time well to ace both of the best worlds.

Many I have learned at UPM. Not only academically, but I managed to make friends and improve my English skills.
