SERDANG, 4 MEI 2026 – The Jejak Warisan Putra programme for newly appointed staff of Universiti Putra Malaysia (UPM) was successfully conducted recently with the participation of 25 operational staff members led by Encik Hisyamuddin Hashim. The programme was organised as an initiative to introduce the university’s history, identity, and heritage values to new members of the UPM community.

Throughout the programme, participants were exposed to various sessions related to the university’s establishment, institutional development, and heritage elements that have become a source of pride for the UPM community. The programme was further enriched with a meaningful sharing session by the Executive Officer of the UPM Alumni Relations Centre, Encik Aiman Fikri Mohd Aris Fadzilah, who elaborated on the history and heritage values of the university.

He also shared the story behind the Menara Putra Warisan Budi, which stands as a symbol of identity, excellence, and the enduring legacy of Universiti Putra Malaysia. The session provided participants with greater insight into the importance of preserving the university’s identity and heritage as a symbol of unity among members of the campus community.

The Jejak Warisan Putra programme is regarded as an important initiative in fostering pride and a sense of belonging among newly appointed staff. In addition to enhancing understanding of the university’s history and culture, the programme is also expected to cultivate appreciation for UPM’s heritage so that it continues to be understood, valued, and preserved by the entire university community for generations to come.
