Serdang, 12 January 2026 – The Putra Heritage Tour Program was successfully held at the Putra Warisan Budi Tower, Universiti Putra Malaysia, with the participation of 76 newly appointed staff members, including six alumni of Universiti Putra Malaysia. The programme was led by Mr Hisyamuddin Hashim and aimed to introduce the university’s history and heritage values to new members of the UPM workforce.

The programme featured a meaningful sharing session by Mr Fahmi Azar Mistar, Director of the Universiti Putra Malaysia Alumni Relations Centre, who elaborated on the university’s establishment history and the core values that shape UPM’s identity. The session also highlighted the story behind the Putra Warisan Budi Tower as a symbol of institutional identity, appreciation of alumni contributions, and the university’s enduring legacy.

Through an informative and fact-based approach, participants were exposed to the importance of preserving institutional heritage as a foundation for fostering unity, pride, and a deeper understanding of the university’s culture.

The Putra Heritage Tour Program serves as an important platform to ensure that the heritage of Universiti Putra Malaysia continues to be understood, appreciated, and passed on to all members of the university community, while further strengthening a sense of belonging and institutional identity among newly appointed staff members.
