PROGRAM PUTRASIHAT 10,000 LANGKAH UPM SIRI 4.0 2025

Serdang, 17 December – Universiti Putra Malaysia (UPM) successfully organised the PUTRASihat 10,000 Steps UPM Programme Series 4.0 2025, marking the conclusion of the programme’s series for the year 2025 with strong participation and vibrant energy.

The programme featured an off-road route that started and ended at UPM Stadium, with four designated checkpoints: the Faculty of Agriculture, UPM Lake, Deer Farm, and Farm Fresh UPM. Open to participants aged 12 years and above, the event attracted UPM staff and students as well as members of the public.

The closing ceremony was officiated by YBhg. Dato’ Professor Ir. Dr Ahmad Farhan Mohd Sadullah, Vice-Chancellor of Universiti Putra Malaysia. In his remarks, he highlighted the importance of cultivating a healthy lifestyle and commended the collective efforts of all parties involved in ensuring the success of the programme.

The event was further enlivened by an aerobics session led by Fit By Beat from the UPM University Health Centre, which encouraged active participation and fostered a lively and motivating atmosphere among the participants.

The PUTRASihat 10,000 Steps UPM Programme Series 4.0 represents the fourth and final series for 2025. Previously, Series 1 was held on 28 February 2025 at the Foyer of Dewan Besar, PKKSSAAS, UPM, followed by Series 2 at Astaka Seni UPM on 20 June 2025, and Series 3 at UPM Parade Ground on 11 October 2025.

Also in attendance was Mr Fahmi Azar Mistar, Director of the UPM Alumni Relations Centre, together with the ARCUPM team, reflecting the university’s ongoing commitment to promoting healthy lifestyles while strengthening the sense of togetherness among campus communities and alumni.

In conclusion, the programme successfully raised awareness on the importance of a healthy lifestyle through physical activity, particularly walking. It encouraged UPM staff and students to remain active while fostering unity, well-being and a strong sense of community within the university and beyond.
