SERDANG – Tan Sri Aishah Ghani College became the third residential college (3) after the Pendeta Za'ba College and the successful Sultan Alaeddin Sulaiman Shah Residential College with the Megachili Project managed by UPM Alumni Relations Centre (ARCUPM).

The basis of the project is to train the students especially students who live in  residential colleges around Serdang campus as well as Bintulu in the  right way of chili cultivation.

This project was touched or pioneered by mentors from among the alumni of University Putra Malaysia (UPM) who have been successful in the agricultural industry out there.

With the initial capital provided by ARCUPM, 10 residential colleges in Serdang including Bintulu responded to this noble desire as a platform for them to gain knowledge outside of the classroom.

For the students involved they think this is a good initiative from ARCUPM and UPM alumni out there. This project can also be considered as a field training before graduation.

This project indirectly gives the students experience involved on the proper cultivation of chili and opens the eyes of the students that agriculture can be an exciting career field.

For UPM residents who wish to give chili from KTAG can continue to scan the QR displayed on the posters and the Alumni Relations Centre welcomes the campus community to support this student project together.
