Serdang, May 15th - The UPM Alumni Relations Center (ARCUPM), as the entity responsible for maintaining connections between alumni and the university, continually looks forward in its efforts to track UPM alumni.
As the body entrusted with the responsibility of attracting more alumni back to their alma mater, various efforts are undertaken to ensure the agenda of excellence for the university and its students is achieved.
Recently, the Deputy Director of ARCUPM took proactive steps by making a courtesy visit to the Agro-Biotechnology Institute, National Institute of Biotechnology Malaysia (ABI NIBM), in Serdang, Selangor.
This courtesy visit was welcomed by the Director of ABI NIBM, Dr. Seetha Jaganathan King (Class of 2012, MSc. Molecular Biology and Class of 2016, PhD Molecular Biology).
During this meet and greet, Dr. Mokrish also brought along UPM graduate students enrolled in the VPM5301-Applied Molecular Biology of Animals course to see firsthand what ABI NIBM offers in terms of real career opportunities.
Dr. Seetha also welcomed the UPM students, both undergraduate and postgraduate, for industrial training placements and research collaboration.

She also mentioned that ABI is upgrading its laboratory facilities to BSL-3 standards, where research related to zoonotic diseases can be conducted. She welcomes collaboration from UPM researchers as well as private researchers to conduct joint research with ABI.
ARCUPM expresses its highest appreciation and gratitude to all UPM alumni who have shown their commitment and support towards building competitive graduates who can thrive in the job market after graduation.
