SERDANG, 15 Nov – The Malam Tautan Nostalgia Alumni (MATNA) Series 2: Alumni Kijang Emas was held with great festivity at Menara Putra Warisan Budi. This programme is a continuation of MATNA Series 1, which highlighted elements of a Poetry Night and received positive response from the university, alumni, and students. MATNA also serves as one of the events organised to promote Menara Putra Warisan Budi.

MATNA Series 2: Alumni Kijang Emas, which had been planned for nearly three months, was enlivened by the presence of students and alumni who wished to appreciate the beauty of cultural arts such as Dikir Barat and Wayang Kulit, both synonymous with the East Coast community.
The organisation of this event also aims to revive various Malaysian cultural heritage arts. Through this programme, the bonds of friendship and connection between the university, students, and alumni can be further strengthened.

As a show of support for this programme, those in attendance included the Head of the Student Affairs Division and advisor to the DNAIM Dikir Barat Group (Class of 2000 alumnus), Mr. Wan Zaharuddin Wan Abdullah; Director of the Alumni Relations Centre (Class of 1998 & 2010 alumnus), Mr. Fahmi Azar Mistar; President of the UPM Alumni Association (Class of 1999 & 2004 alumnus), Mr. Norashedy Ab Rashid; Vice President of the UPM Alumni Association (Class of 1992 alumnus), Mr. Shahrudin Mahadi; as well as Former Manager of the UPM Alumni Association and also a Kijang Emas alumnus (Class of 1978, 1984 & 1998), Tuan Haji Wan Ali Wan Ab Rahman.

UPM’s Alumni Relations Centre extends its highest appreciation and gratitude to all UPM Alumni and Kijang Emas Alumni who contributed to the success of MATNA Series 2: Alumni Kijang Emas.
