Serdang, 25 Oktober – The atmosphere at the Astaka Seni, Universiti Putra Malaysia (UPM) was filled with excitement as the Kijang Mas Dikir Barat Group conducted an energetic rehearsal session in preparation for their upcoming performance at the Kijang Mas Alumni Night.

The rehearsal, marked by enthusiasm and dedication, brought together alumni and former student performers who were once active in UPM’s traditional arts scene. The session aimed to ensure that their upcoming stage performance would be delivered with excellence, while rekindling memories of campus life through the rhythmic sounds and poetic expressions of Dikir Barat.

Scheduled to take place on 15 November 2025, from 9.00 p.m. to 11.00 p.m. at Menara Putra Warisan Budi, the event promises to be a memorable evening filled with nostalgia and cultural pride. The night will also feature a special Wayang Kulit performance by the Takisan Mas Merah Troupe, adding a unique traditional touch to the celebration.

More than just an artistic performance, the programme serves as a meaningful platform to unite alumni who share a deep appreciation for Malay cultural heritage. It embodies the enduring UPM spirit of “With Knowledge We Serve,” celebrating both creativity and camaraderie among the university’s alumni community.
