SERDANG, 16 August – Alumni Relations Centre UPM (ARCUPM) is one of the Responsibility Center (PTJ) that have joined  the 2023 Kibar Jalur Gemilang competition. All of ARCUPM staff are involved and have played their roles in making sure the competition is a success and well received.

The preparation for the 2023 Kibar Jalur Gemilang competition is led by Ms. Afifatus Shahira and is helped by ARCUPM staff. The juries have come to ARCUPM to evaluate the creativity of the staff. The juries are invited by ARCUPM Director, Prof. Associate Dr. Arbai’e Sujud along with Deputy Director, Mr. Fahmi Azar Mistar.

The theme we have brought this time is state elections (PRN) influenced by the voting season that has just ended on 12 August 2023. The evaluation has started when the juries throw their votes into the ballot box.

ARCUPM staff have also reenacted all of Malaysia’s Prime Ministers (PM) from the first PM, Tunku Abdul Rahman, until the current PM, Dato’ Seri Anwar Ibrahim. The short reenactment is a reflection of each of the PM according to their own era.

ARCUPM staff have used reused items to make a replica of a train to show how the trains from the Malay Land have changed along with times to more modern electric trains like MRT, LRT and monorails.

The evaluation session has ended smoothly and all the performances and creativity are only shown within the 15 minutes of time limit.
