SERDANG, 2 November – Alumni Relations Centre UPM (ARCUPM) is in the effort of collecting the earlier information regarding the building project of Warisan Budi Clock Tower, and the effort is continued with an interview with Prof. Ar. Mohd Razali Mahyuddin or prefers to be called Tok Wan.

He is the first architect to sketch the original design of Warisan Budi Clock Tower. His valuable sharing about the initial concept of the clock tower will be included in the book, ‘Coffee Table Book’ that will be published along with the launching of Warisan Budi Clock Tower which is expected to be done by the end of April 2024.

ARCUPM is honored to welcome Tok Wan to share stories and information regarding the Warisan Budi Clock Tower. He is a professional architect who has a different point of view, especially in the detailed meanings on every design on the clock tower. The concept, idea and initial design were all the product of his own creativity and philosophy with the help from his team at the time.

When informed that the clock tower has entered the building phase after 16 years, and on 23 August 2023, during the launching of the Site Handover Symbolic Ceremony, Tok Wan’s face expression has shown happiness and pride as his idea and effort for Warisan Budi Clock Tower finally in the starting process. His hope for the building of the clock tower to be as scheduled can be seen on his face.

Other than the Warisan Budi Clock Tower, Office of the UPM Deputy Vice Chancellor (Research & Innovation) (TNCPI) is another one of Prof. Ar. Mohd Razali Mahyuddin’s design. Also present is Former UPM Bursar. Dato’ Hj Zulkiflee Othman who shares a lot of stories with Tok Wan. ARCUPM would like to thank Dato’ Zulkiflee Othman who is willing to join Tok Wan to ARCUPM.
