Serdang, 29 January 2026 – The Integrity Forum, held in conjunction with the True North Putra Carnival and the Vice-Chancellor’s Address and Trust Mandate 2026, was successfully organised at the Grand Hall of the Sultan Salahuddin Abdul Aziz Shah Cultural and Arts Centre, Universiti Putra Malaysia (UPM).

The forum, themed “Integrity and Academic Ethics: Trust in Knowledge, Credible Leadership and the Future of the University,” served as a platform for knowledge sharing and strategic discourse on strengthening integrity values, academic ethics, and principled leadership within the higher education ecosystem.

The forum featured a distinguished panel comprising Yang Berbahagia Professor Emeritus Dato’ Dr. Ibrahim Komoo, Chairman of the University Board of Directors, Universiti Putra Malaysia; Yang Berbahagia Dato’ Professor Ir. Dr. Ahmad Farhan Mohd Sadullah, Vice-Chancellor of Universiti Putra Malaysia; and Yang Berusaha Assistant Commissioner Mohd Azwan Ramli, Director of the Selangor Malaysian Anti-Corruption Commission (SPRM).

The session was moderated by Yang Berusaha Encik Azizi Ismail, Head of the Governance and Integrity Division, Universiti Putra Malaysia, who is also a UPM alumnus from the Class of 1998. Discussions centred on the trustworthiness of knowledge, leadership responsibilities, and the importance of embedding a culture of integrity as a foundation for university sustainability.

The forum was further enlivened by the True North Putra Carnival, which saw participation from various Responsibility Centres (PTJ) across UPM. These centres operated exhibition booths to showcase their respective roles, services, and initiatives. Among the participating PTJs was the Alumni Relations Centre of Universiti Putra Malaysia (ARCUPM), which actively promoted alumni engagement and community involvement within the university ecosystem.

Overall, the Integrity Forum successfully achieved its objectives of strengthening awareness and appreciation of integrity and academic ethics among the UPM community. The initiative reflects the university’s continued commitment to nurturing credible leadership and fostering a university culture grounded in trust, transparency, and shared responsibility.
