SERDANG, 27 JULY- The sale of Batik Canting paintings as part of the 2 Generation Scholarship, which took place from 9 June to 9 July, was successful in achieving its goal when money was raised to support a diploma student.

This success is attributable to the cooperation of UPM alumni and staff in a combined effort to produce this exhibition that was inspired by UPM staff. Up to RM 15,000 were successfully raised throughout the exhibition's month-long run, enabling the realization of the 2 Generation scholarship programs that will produce diploma-ranked students.

Many UPM graduates have a steadfast passion for their alma mater, which is shown in the fact that some of them are prepared to design illustrations to represent the sense of community in every event and activity carried out by UPM.

All UPM alumni who helped organize this exhibition are much appreciated by the Alumni Transportation Center, which worked with them on this initiative.  The availability of this 2 Generation Scholarship can assist at least one student who is in need of funds to complete their studies that will improve the financial situation of his family.

Additionally, the Alumni Relations Centre, a body affiliated with alumni other than the UPM Alumni Association, will continue to support all initiatives launched to recruit alumni and encourage them to give back to their alma mater as well as initiatives to help students in need together.
