Kuala Lumpur, 19 January 2026 – The Universiti Putra Malaysia Alumni Relations Centre (ARCUPM) conducted an exclusive interview with YBhg. Dato’ Mohd Radhi Chu Abdullah, Deputy Director (Operations and Technical), at the Peninsular Malaysia Forestry Department. The interview was carried out in preparation for an article to be published in the Serdang Sun Alumni Magazine, highlighting his life journey, professional experiences, and insights for the current generation of Universiti Putra Malaysia students.
YBhg. Dato’ Mohd Radhi, born in 1968 in Machang, Kelantan, is a 1992 alumnus of UPM from the Faculty of Forestry and was a resident of the Fifth Residential College. He began his career with professional experience in Hiroshima, Japan, before joining the Peninsular Malaysia Forestry Department in 1996. Throughout his career, the extensive experience he gained has shaped his leadership, resilience, and professional wisdom, which remain the cornerstones of his success today.


During the interview, YBhg. Dato’ Mohd Radhi shared valuable advice for students and young alumni of UPM. He emphasized the importance of mastering current technologies, including artificial intelligence, maintaining patience and resilience in the face of challenges, continuously enriching knowledge to foster creative thinking, being competitive while improving personal skills, and reviewing course content to stay aligned with current developments. These insights are intended to guide students in developing competitiveness and strategic thinking relevant to contemporary challenges.
The interview was also attended by Associate Professor Dr. Mohd Mursyid Arshad, Director of the Centre for Co-Curriculum and Student Development, and Dr. Mohammad Mu’az Mahmud, Deputy Director of the UPM Alumni Relations Centre. Their presence reflects the continuous support of ARCUPM and the university in strengthening connections between alumni and students, as well as reinforcing the wider academic community.

The experiences and perspectives shared by YBhg. Dato’ Mohd Radhi are expected to serve as a source of inspiration and guidance for the UPM community and future generations.
