Serdang, 5 October – The second day of Universiti Putra Malaysia (UPM) new student registration for the 2025/2026 academic session was filled with excitement and enthusiasm at the UPM Parade Ground, the main venue for students registering for Kolej Pendeta Za’ba (KPZ) and Kolej Tun Dr. Ismail (KTDI).

New students, accompanied by their parents, arrived early in the morning to complete their registration process. Adding to the lively atmosphere, the UPM Alumni Relations Centre (ARCUPM) set up a special alumni booth to identify and connect with parents who are UPM alumni.

A total of 32 parents/heirs of UPM Alumni were successfully comforted. Among those present were Mr. Rafiuzzaman Haroun, a Bachelor of Biomedical Science graduate (Class of 2001), and his wife Mrs. Wan Nabihah Wan Abdullah, also a Bachelor of Biomedical Science graduate (Class of 2003). The couple attended the event to send off their daughter, Miss Wan Nur Faqihah, a new student in the Bachelor of Science (Chemistry) programme. This marking a proud family legacy of three members who are now part of the UPM community.

The event was graced by the presence of UPM Vice-Chancellor, YBhg. Dato’ Professor Ir. Dr. Ahmad Farhan Mohd Sadullah, who visited the Parade Ground to observe the registration process and personally engage with students and parents. He was accompanied by Deputy Vice-Chancellor (Student Affairs and Alumni), YBhg. Professor Dr. Arifin Abdu, and Deputy Vice-Chancellor (Academic and International), YBhg. Professor Ir. Dr. Abd Rahim Abu Talib.

In conclusion, the second day of registration at the Parade Ground not only marked the beginning of a new academic journey for UPM’s new students, but also reflected the strong sense of belonging and enduring legacy of UPM alumni families that continues to flourish across generations.
