SERDANG, 10 May 2023 – Universiti Putra Malaysia (UPM) is one of the universities with multi-racial and religious staff and students. Every festive season will be celebrated. One of them is Eid al-Fitr. The recent Eid al-Fitr Celebration 2023 received a lively response despite entering 19 Syawal on the day of its event.

The celebration involved all UPM staff at Serdang and Bintulu campuses simultaneously. This event was not focused on one place but also involved 13 strategic locations around UPM with the merger of several entities in each cluster. Alumni Contact Centre is one of the entities included in the G cluster involving 17 other entities based at the UPM Banquet Hall.

The Eid al-Fitr Mega Celebration focuses on the objective of celebrating the staff and students of UPM as well as to encourage the victory day of Muslims to be used in reconnecting every relationship and to strengthen the relationship among the staff, students and all UPM staff.

The event, which took place from 9:30 am to 4:30 pm on Wednesday, was also attended by the top management of the University, the Vice-Chancellor of UPM, YBhg. Dato' Prof. Dr. Roslan Sulaiman also visited each cluster to see and enliven the celebration.

The program was also enlivened with a singing competition for the song and a beautiful booth competition and the UPM Alumni Relations Centre finished fourth in the most beautiful booth competition for the G cluster.
