Serdang, October 26, 2024 – The Decade with Alumni DVM 2014 program was successfully held at the Faculty of Veterinary Medicine, Universiti Putra Malaysia (UPM). This program aimed to expand knowledge, provide exposure, and share detailed information with new veterinary students about the career opportunities available after graduation.

The program was officiated by the Deputy Dean of Research & Graduate Studies, Associate Professor Dr. Intan Shameha Abdul Razak. This was followed by an invaluable experience-sharing session from the DVM 2014 alumni to the first-year DVM students. During this session, the alumni shared insights into the challenges and opportunities within the veterinary profession.

The program also reunited the DVM 2014 alumni, providing them with the opportunity to share their valuable experiences with the first-year students. After the sharing session, the event continued with the presentation of certificates of appreciation and souvenirs to the alumni in recognition of their contributions to the program.

A total of 158 participants, consisting of DVM students and DVM 2014 alumni, took part in the event. Their involvement helped strengthen the connection between different student generations and alumni. Also present at the event was Dr. Mohd Mokrish Md Ajat, Deputy Director of the Alumni Relations Center.

This program not only benefited the students but also provided an opportunity for alumni to engage with the students and introduce them to the wide array of career opportunities within veterinary medicine. It is hoped that this program will continue in the future, strengthening the community of the Faculty of Veterinary Medicine, UPM.
