London, 2 February 2026- Universiti Putra Malaysia (UPM) paid a courtesy visit to the High Commission Of Malaysia in London as part of its ongoing efforts to strengthen bilateral relations and expand strategic collaboration at the international level.

The UPM delegation, led by Yang Berbahagia Dato’ Prof. Ir. Dr. Ahmad Farhan Mohd Sadullah, Vice-Chancellor of Universiti Putra Malaysia, held a meeting with His Excellency Dato’ Zakri Jaafar, the High Commissioner of Malaysia to the United Kingdom. The visit reflects UPM’s strong commitment to enhancing its international network and reinforcing the university’s role on the global stage.
The meeting focused on sharing UPM’s expertise in academic development, research, and knowledge transfer, while also exploring opportunities to integrate expertise, innovation, and best practices from the United Kingdom. The discussion opened avenues for broader collaboration in supporting institutional development and strengthening the university’s internationalisation agenda.

In addition, the role of the UPM alumni network in the United Kingdom was highlighted as a catalyst for strategic collaboration and global engagement. This initiative is expected to further strengthen UPM’s higher education ecosystem and contribute to the achievement of the university’s international aspirations.

Overall, the courtesy visit served as an important platform for reinforcing diplomatic and academic ties, while supporting UPM’s continuous efforts to create a sustainable impact in higher education, research, and innovation at the global level.
