SERDANG, 1st August– The Biotech Alumni Hi-Tea 2026, held at Farm Grill House, UniPutra Golf Club, Universiti Putra Malaysia (UPM), concluded successfully, bringing together alumni of the Faculty of Biotechnology and Biomolecular Sciences (FBSB), industry representatives and distinguished guests in an atmosphere of fellowship, professional networking and shared commitment to advancing the biotechnology community.
The event was honoured by the presence of Datuk Ts. Nor Azman Hassan, Deputy Secretary-General (Management and Development), Ministry of Higher Education, and Dato' Ahmad Suaidi Abdul Rahim, State Secretary of Perak, both of whom are distinguished alumni of the Faculty of Biotechnology and Biomolecular Sciences. Their presence underscored the significant contributions of UPM alumni to leadership and national development across various sectors.

Representing the UPM Alumni Relations Centre (ARCUPM) was Puan Wan Nahariah Wan Tahir, Senior Assistant Registrar, whose attendance reflected the University's continued commitment to fostering strong and sustainable relationships with its alumni.
The gathering served as a valuable platform for strengthening connections among alumni, industry partners and the University through professional networking, knowledge sharing and meaningful interactions. The programme also reinforced the important role of alumni in supporting the Faculty's aspirations while promoting collaboration between academia and industry.

The organising committee extends its sincere appreciation to the organisers, sponsors, volunteers, alumni and all individuals and organisations whose contributions and commitment were instrumental in the successful organisation of the event.
The success of the Biotech Alumni Hi-Tea 2026 reflects Universiti Putra Malaysia's ongoing efforts to cultivate an active and engaged alumni community. It is hoped that the relationships strengthened during the programme will continue to foster impactful collaborations, lifelong engagement and meaningful contributions by alumni towards the advancement of the University, the biotechnology profession and society at large.
