KUALA NERUS, May 17 – A delegation from the Alumni Relations Centre of Universiti Putra Malaysia (ARCUPM), led by its Director, Mr. Fahmi Azar Mistar, conducted a benchmarking visit to the Alumni Centre of Universiti Sultan Zainal Abidin (UniSZA) aimed at enhancing collaboration and sharing best practices in alumni management.

The visit served as a platform for both institutions to exchange insights and experiences on organisational management, alumni engagement strategies and effective approaches in strengthening alumni networks.

ARCUPM expressed its appreciation to the UniSZA Alumni Centre for welcoming the delegation and facilitating discussions focused on improving alumni relations and governance.

As alumni represent one of the largest stakeholder groups within higher education institutions, effective alumni management has become increasingly important in fostering long-term engagement and encouraging graduates to contribute back to their alma mater.

The benchmarking session highlighted the need for public universities in Malaysia to continuously refine and strengthen alumni management frameworks to support institutional growth and sustain meaningful alumni participation.

During the visit, various valuable inputs and practical experiences were shared by Associate Professor Ts. Dr. Norkhairani Abdul Rawi, Director of the UniSZA Alumni Centre. The discussions contributed to deeper understanding between both institutions while reinforcing strategic ties in alumni development initiatives.

The engagement is expected to serve as a catalyst for future excellence in alumni management and pave the way for stronger collaboration between ARCUPM and UniSZA in advancing alumni-related programmes and initiatives.
