Putrajaya, 25 April 2025 – A meaningful alumni gathering was held at the Department of Agriculture, bringing together Universiti Putra Malaysia (UPM) alumni currently serving in the public sector. This session not only provided an opportunity to celebrate alumni achievements but also opened a new chapter for strategic collaboration with the agency.

The event was graced by the presence of the Deputy Director General of Agriculture (Industry Development and Growth), Mr. Johari Abdullah (UPM Class of 2011), as well as the Assistant Director of the Corporate Communications Unit, Mr. Ahmad Fikri Mohd Samsudin (UPM Class of 2010). The alumni delegation was led by the Deputy Director of the UPM Alumni Relations Centre (ARCUPM), Associate Professor Dr. Mohd Mokrish Md Ajat. The presence of ARCUPM was warmly welcomed by the Director General of Agriculture, YBhg. Dato’ Nor Sam Alwi. According to Associate Professor Dr. Mohd Mokrish, the session served as an important platform to strengthen professional networks between the university and its alumni in the field, while exploring opportunities for collaboration in research, training, and human resource development.
