Serdang, April 25th - The Workshop of the Public University Alumni Council of Malaysia took place from April 25 to 27, 2024, with Universiti Malaysia Sabah (UMS) as the host. The UPM Alumni Relations Centre (ARCUPM), representing Universiti Putra Malaysia, also attended this workshop, led by the newly appointed ARCUPM Director, Associate Professor Dr. Aqlima Ahmad, who took on the role on April 1, 2024.

The workshop will be held for two days in UMS starting on the 25th and ending on the 26th of April 2024, focused on an agenda and discussions aimed at benefiting and further strengthening the role of alumni at Public Universities (UA).

Among the topics to be explored and discussed were those centered on MAlumni's core pillars, suggestions for alumni contributions through salary deductions, a review of public university alumni management guidelines, and the organization of the Public University Alumni Council's upcoming event scheduled for this year.

The workshop, attended by representatives from 20 other public universities, served as an excellent platform to discuss alumni-related issues and collaboratively work towards the development of public universities in Malaysia.

As an entity serving as the liaison between UPM alumni and the alma mater, ARCUPM remains fully committed to supporting all initiatives that empower UA alumni.
