SERDANG, 16 August 2021 – Alumni Chapter UPM known as AGRISC'94 has agreed to assist in sponsorship contributions to identified UPM students who require financial assistance to further their studies. 

All of them are UPM alumni from the Bachelor of Agricultural Science class of 1994. The name AGRISC'94 is named after the alumni study course and also their year of study. To date, there are 21 alumni in the UPM AGRISC'94 alumni chapter. Their close relationship is still strong even though they have left UPM for almost 23 years. Now they are returning to contribute to the UPM students who need help to continue their studies.

The idea was initiated when one of the alumni, Tuan Haji Mat Amin who had previously sponsored several UPM undergraduates through a program organised by UPM alumni, brought the proposal to the UPM AGRISC'94 alumni chapter.

The proposal was later refined and it was time for the alumni to give back to alma mater. In conclusion, UPM AGRISC'94 agreed to sponsor a scholarship to UPM bachelor students in need.

These sponsors are teachers, lecturers, corporates such as FGV as well as multinational companies and businessmen. This contribution is a continuation of knowledge and at the same time educates today's students so that they will give back to their alma mater after graduation.

According to Tuan Haji Mat, the scholarship was also to assist the youth in pursuing studies to the highest level. Those who seek knowledge are those who are striving in the way of Allah SWT. With this small donation, Allah opened a wider path of sustenance to all alumni who are generous in easing the burden of the students.
