UPM 47TH CONVOCATION CEREMONY

SERDANG – With the end of Conference 2 which lasted for 6 days from 25 November to 30 November 2023, the 47th UPM Convocation Ceremony was a success. Conference 1 was held at Dewan Sri Kenyalang, UPM Bintulu Campus on 4 November 2023 involved 487 graduates, while Conference 2 was held at the Great Hall of the Sultan Salahuddin Abdul Shah Cultural and Art Center, UPM Serdang Campus involved 6051 graduates.

Along with the convocation ceremony, a convocation festival was also held at both campuses. The 47th Konvokesyen@UPMKB Agricultural Expo Festival was held at the Expo Site, Dewan Sri Kenyalang UPMKB from 2 November to 5 November 2023. UPM Serdang Campus also held the UPM Agricultural Expo and Convocation Festival located around the UPM Putra Chancellery Building which was officially launched on 24 November and lasted until 1 December 2023. Among the activities held during this convocation festival are agricultural products sales, agricultural research exhibitions, food festivals, stage performances and many more. Recreational activities such as archery, shooting, flying fox and kayaking were also held and received an encouraging response from the visitors.

Alumni Relations Center UPM (ARCUPM) also participated during the convocation festival by setting up the official ARCUPM booth and the Putrabiz@Alumni booth in collaboration with the Chapter Student Ambassador (CSA). Taking this opportunity, ARCUPM would like to thank those who visited the ARCUPM booth and the customers who bought flowers from the Putrabiz@Alumni booth and at the same time gave donations that will be distributed to the students.

 

With the ending of the 47th UPM Convocation Ceremony, ARCUPM would like to wish congratulations and good luck to the graduates who are now UPM alumni. The wishes are also extended to the recipients of university awards and scholarship recipients from UPM alumni. The graduates are UPM ambassadors who will bear the name of UPM in the future, therefore, it has become the alumni's responsibility to protect UPM’s good name.

ARCUPM always welcomes alumni back to UPM to contribute to their alma mater. The contribution is not only in the form of money, but also in the form of cooperation, suggestions and sharing experiences to inspire the UPM community.
