SERDANG - An adjustment meeting for the construction of Menara Jam Warisan Budi at Alumni Town Hall, Alumni Relations Centre UPM (ARCUPM) was held and chaired by Assoc. Prof. Dr. Arba'ie Sujud discussed the matters arising which were agreed upon since 2006.

In conjunction with Universiti Putra Malaysia Golden Jubilee (1971-2021) the construction of the tower was seen as timely. Symbolically, the Menara Jam Warisan Budi also symbolizes the success and unity of UPM alumni together with the university in supporting the university’s aspirations and vision.

The construction objective of the clock tower is to appreciate the contribution of the campus community and alumni. This initiative has received full support from UPM Vice-Chancellor, YH. Dato` Prof. Dr Mohd Roslan Sulaiman.

Meanwhile, the concept and design of the Menara Jam Warisan Budi were made by the team from the Faculty of Design & Architecture UPM. The proposed construction or location for the development of the clock tower is near the Chancellery Building and Dewan Besar, where the UPM convocation was held. This location is seen as strategic and will be the focus of the graduates.

The Alumni Relations Centre and the entire UPM staff will continue to give a high commitment to making this clock tower a new UPM landmark which will be the pride of the entire UPM community.

ARCUPM and all UPM staff thanked all UPM alumni who came together in making this project a reality.
