SERDANG – Muhammad Syazwan Mohd Sofian, Bachelor of Science in Plantation Management holder celebrates his degree scroll today.
After five years of studies, Muhammad Syazwan received his bachelor’s degree during the UPM 44th Convocation. For the former recipient of the Soh Kim Mee Alumni Scholarship, his thriving success was achieved with all the sacrifices, determinations and prayers from his family that he can finally grasp a degree that will alter his future.
“For five years I thrived for a degree. Agriculture and plantation management have always been my passion since school. In addition, agriculture and plantations have undergone some technological revolutions which made me thrilled to explore these challenging fields. Industrial Revolution 4.0 and the advancement of IoT (Internet of Things) adds to my excitement to explore it,” said Syazwan enthusiastically.
I am indebted to Soh Kim Mee Alumni Scholarship which has sponsored me until I have completed my studies. Without sponsorship, it would be hard for me since I am from a moderate family.
With this scholarship, I am able to give my full focus on my studies without having to worry about my educational expenses and it definitely eases my family’s burden.
“My father works as a lorry driver and now he is able to give priority to my siblings without having to worry about my educational costs. Heartiest thanks to Soh Kim Mee Scholarship.
I hope I can give back to alma mater just like the alumni who have assisted me. “Kami Bangga Menjadi Alumni UPM will be forever engraved in my heart and I have faith in all UPM graduates,” he ended.
