SERDANG, 12 November – ‘Menggamit Seribu Kenangan Alumni Reunion’ (MEKAR) program is back again for the College of Agricultural Malaya alumni 1971 (KPM 71) as well as the UPM Golden Jubilee Celebration. This program is a collaboration of UPM Alumni Relations Center (ARCUPM) with Dr. Mohd Khanif Yusof and Dr. Zaitun Md Yasin, both are alumni of the class of 1971.

After being postponed several times, finally on 12 November 2023 at UPM's Deputy Vice-Chancellor (Research & Innovation) Building, this program was held successfully and smoothly. Attended by more than 50 alumni, the reunion program merrier.

Also present was Pro Chancellor of UPM, Professor Emeritus Dato' Dr. Ir. Muhammad Zohadie Bardaie (Alumni class 1971) and Founder of Brahim's Group, Dato' Seri Ibrahim Haji Ahmad Badawi (Alumni class 1971).

"Alhamdulillah. the program went smoothly and I can't describe how happy I am with this reunion program", said Dr. Zaitun Md Yasin Alumni class 1971 as the organizer of this program together with ARCUPM. She also plans to gather alumni from other classes to participate in this program in collaboration with ARCUPM in the future.

ARCUPM is represented by Mrs. Aida Fitri Peli as the Administrative Officer of ARCUPM who thanked ARCUPM for managing this reunion program.

ARCUPM also welcomes alumni who want to return to contribute or meet up with old friends at UPM. The presence and return of these alumni will bring a lot of benefits to the university and students.
