SERDANG, 6 December 2023 – A handover ceremony of Alumni Information System (AIS) is held at Bilik Menara Warisan Budi, Alumni Relations Centre (ARCUPM). This simple ceremony is held to witness the handover of AIS from its former handler, Formis Network Sdn Bhd to Infocomm Development Centre (iDEC) UPM.

AIS is a portal for alumni developed by ARCUPM to collect and update alumni data more efficiently. This portal serves the purpose of ensuring alumni’s information and profiles are always up-to-date, active and easy to be reached for blasting and publicity of various activities and programs by UPM for alumni.

The symbolic of AIS handover is done by Mr. Ahmad Farabi Zawali, Project Manager from Formis Network Services Sdn Bhd; and Mr. Syemsul Bahrim Abdul, Deputy Director of IDEC ICT Services. The ceremony is ended with souvenirs handover from Mr. Fahmi Azar Mistar, ARCUPM Deputy Director to ARCUPM’s strategic friends who have made project AIS a success.

Also present are Mr. Ts. Ahri Sogok, Head of Division of Application Operations of iDEC UPM; Mr. Ts. Rostam Abu Bakar, Deputy Head of UPM's Information and Communication Development Database and Big Data Division; Encik Yusri Hashim, Senior Deputy Treasurer of the UPM Bursar's Office; and ARCUPM staff.

ARCUPM hopes that under the management of iDEC, AIS will improve and be more efficient in managing alumni data.
