SERDANG, 2 Feb – Alumni Relations Centre UPM (ARCUPM) invited Junaida Adan and Norazura Ali from the Central Management of Operation Financial Division (COD), Bursar for a briefing session on university procurement and payment to all ARCUPM staff.
The briefing aimed to give awareness to all staff of the importance of financial documentation, claim procedures and other financial-related matters. The 3 hours briefing session has provided numerous inputs to the staff especially those who are involved in financial management at ARCUPM.
Together in the briefing was ARCUPM Director, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Arba’ie Sujud, Deputy Director Fahmi Azar Mistar, Assistant Registrar, Nik Hafzaini Nik Hassan, and ARCUPM staff.
According to Junaida, every Universiti Putra Malaysia (UPM) staff should be aware of how to manage matters related to university procurement and payment. With this conscious awareness, one will develop a sense of responsibility for how the university operates.
“Every excess and unnecessary expenses should be avoided or minimised to maintain the cash flow to be at the optimum level,” she urged.
At the end of the briefing, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Arba’ie Sujud reminds all staff to be cautious about financial management which involved the university’s finances. He also stressed to the staff who managed the office’s finances to abide by the terms and conditions set by the university’s financial committee.
Expectantly, this useful briefing will be applied to all ARCUPM staff especially that involving claims, allocation expenses and procurement.
