Serdang, January 20th - Alumni Relations Centre UPM (ARCUPM) in collaboration with Alumni Chapter Cyperus 92' organized Menggamit Seribu Kenangan: Alumni Reunion (MEKAR) Series 15: Alumni Chapter Cyperus 92' on 20 January 2024 at L'Apprenti UPM. This program serves as a platform for UPM alumni to return to their alma mater and reunite with their classmates or college mates.

The organization of MEKAR Series 15: Alumni Chapter Cyperus 92' was initiated by Mrs. Suhana Md. Chairi who is a UPM Alumni Class of 1992 and 1996, together with her fellow graduates. This program reunited the Alumni Chapter of  Cyperus 92’ in which the main activity was a visit to UPM farms with Putra Agricultural Center (PPP) collaboration. The tour started at the Melon Plant Project before going to the Vegetable Plant Project and finally the Deer Livestock Project at UPM. This visit managed to bring back old memories and Chapter Cyperus 92' Alumni were very excited to share their experiences from their times as UPM students.

Chapter Cyperus 92' is a group of UPM alumni from the Diploma in Agriculture and they are one of the chapters that have been the sponsors of the Chapter Cyperus 92' Alumni Scholarship since 2018. A friendly meeting with Cyperus 92' Scholarship recipients (3.0) was held after the farm tour at PPP. This friendly meeting session was conducted online via Google Meet. Alumni Scholarship recipient Cyperus Chapter 92' (3.0) who is Universiti Putra Malaysia Bintulu Campus (UPMKB) student, Intan Syuhaila Basri (Diploma in Agricultural) expressed her gratitude for being selected as a scholarship recipient.

"I am very grateful to the Cyperus 92 Chapter alumni because, with this scholarship, I was able to ease the family's financial burden and be able to cover my tuition and daily expenses at UPMKB," said Intan Syuhaila during the friendly meeting with the sponsors. Handing over a replica check sponsored by the Cyperus Chapter Alumni Scholarship 92' (3.0) has been held which was worth RM10,747.00 by Mrs. Suhana Md. Chairi (Cyperus Chapter Alumni Coordinator 92') to the Deputy Director of ARCUPM, Mr. Fahmi Azar Mistar. ARCUPM holds the utmost appreciation to Chapter Cyperus 92' for sponsoring scholarships to UPM students.
