Serdang, 1 April - UPM Alumni Relation Centre (ARCUPM) a warm welcome and best wishes to Associate Professor Dr. Siti Aqlima Ahmad, who has been appointed the role of ARCUPM Director effective from April 1st, 2024. This appointment is to replace the position vacated by Associate Professor Dr. Arba’ie Sujud, who retired on August 23rd, 2023. During the vacancy, the Deputy Director of ARCUPM, Mr. Fahmi Azar Mistar, took on the responsibilities of the Director to ensure all functions and operations of ARCUPM continued as usual.

The three-year appointment is expected to bring significant innovations and will certainly benefit alumni in the community. Collaboration among alumni must continue to support the university's vision and mission to make Universiti Putra Malaysia (UPM) a reputable international university.

Associate Professor Dr. Aqlima was the sixth Director of ARCUPM since its establishment in 1999. Initially, it started as a unit known as the Alumni Unit, which later transitioned to the Alumni Centre in January 2022. However, in August 2003, this office was tasked with implementing all career-related activities for UPM students and later renamed the Centre for Career Services and Alumni.

On July 1, 2006, the fifth Vice-Chancellor and UPM management agreed that the alumni office would be responsible for executing all programs to empower UPM through its alumni and designated this office as the UPM Alumni Centre. On January 1, 2021, the Alumni Centre was rebranded to its current name, the Alumni Relations Centre.

The entire ARCUPM team extends a warm welcome to Associate Professor Dr. Aqlima Ahmad as Director of ARCUPM.
